Holler & Crow is a Celtic-Appalachian folk band based in Asheville, NC, bringing together traditional music from the British Isles and Appalachia, originals and delightful modern covers. This is the heart of the jaunty, genre-bending twist we call a Crowified sound.
Equally at home in late night pubs, at family-friendly festivals, weddings and private events, or immersive fantasy events, our music spans time and realms from the British Isles and Appalachia to Middle Earth, Tatooine, and beyond. The music we play is beloved by audiences of all ages and generations and we love seeing how it brings together everyone in the crowd, from the oldest to the youngest!
Our instrumentation includes guitar, violin, viola, upright bass, accordion, banjo, bouzouki, penny whistle, woodwinds, and viol da gamba. Holler & Crow performs in a flexible roster format, as a duo, trio, 4-piece, or 5-piece band, to suit events of all types.
It’s our absolute delight to make traditional music feel newly alive for nontraditional audiences.

Lark primarily plays the viola and guitar and sings like a bird.
Lark is a long-time community music organizer in Asheville. Past organizing roles includes: Pop-Up Music Co-Op, Community Music Organizer at Firefly Gathering, Sing Thing and Songwriter Circles, countless backyard bonfire jams, and many years of busking throughout the US & Canada.
